I am an artist and maker living and working in Carmarthenshire, South Wales. My studio is an old milking shed on the edge of a field, wind and waterproof with a half glass ceiling which brings the weather closer. This is where I spend my mornings working on images which can take many months to complete. I usually work on 3-4 images at a time which enables me to swop between paintings, allowing them time to rest and develop.
I have always dabbled in crafts and art but was only able to devote time to my art later in life. In 2005 I was able to attend Carmarthen School of Art and obtained a BA (Hons) in 2009. Since then I have involved myself in artistic groups across West Wales and adopted a range of practice methods including wire work and short film.
My inspiration is the natural world. The patterns, colours, shapes and textures created by Mother Nature are infinite and amazing, lending themselves to reinterpretation in many ways.
I paint, mainly in acrylics, often incorporating printing or collage into my images. My Gallery page shows my most recent works. My work reflects nature, capturing the sense of peace held in the open spaces of the world.
I exhibit regularly, in groups and individually. My work is held in collections in New Zealand, Australia, France and the United Kingdom.
